As a boy I was always intrigued by the descriptions of Buckskins, Lineback duns and other horses described in the early Cowboy Books of Louis L’amour and others. Having by chance acquired a Fjord pony and bred some beautiful Dun Quarter horses, I then blended these two breeds together to breed a number of delightful Dun coloured ponies and horses. These ponies and horses are fascinating in colour, have wonderful temperaments and are ideal as children’s ponies, stock horses and trail horses. I have never considered these to be a commercially viable programme but have simply created these herds for pure love of equines. View our Dun Ponies Collection in our Gallery.
