Dairy has been the core of our farming business over the years. We have grown from non-viable 50 cows in milk to the present where we have some 1800 to 1900 cows in milk at any given stage. The dairy is based on a simple management strategy and is on pasture 24 hours 365 days a year. We feed a small amount of home mixed concentrates to assist in milk production and cow health. We have predominantly Holstein cows but also run a herd of Jerseys and a crossbred herd of Jersey/Holstein crosses.
